Science & Engineering Night invited parents and children in grades K-8 to visit the high school and watch 39 demonstrations of what students learn in the high school’s 13 science courses.

The Swiger Award goes to educators who are both excellent teachers and wise mentors.

Winchester and Lynch were selected to be the location for this announcement in recognition of the town’s leadership in environmental sustainability.

The Competition Series has 4 levels of live, in-person math competitions - school, chapter, state and national. Each level of competition is comprised of 4 rounds - Sprint, Target, Team and Countdown

Science Olympiad is nationwide competition. Students compete in 23 events that include earth science, biology, chemistry, physics, and engineering.

“It’s a pleasure to celebrate these 63 schools and recognize the work of the teachers, students and families within them,” said Elementary and Secondary Education Commissioner Pedro Martinez

On Monday, August 25, 2025, hundreds of community members gathered at the new Lynch Elementary School for a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house.
