The Lynch School is one of five elementary schools in the Town of Winchester, Massachusetts. For the 2023-2024 & 2024-2025 school years, Lynch Elementary will reside at Parkhurst School (40 Samoset Rd) while the Lynch Replacement Project is underway.
We serve a student body of about 490 students in Kindergarten to Grade 5. We are also the home of a portion of our district's integrated preschool, which serves about 50 preschoolers starting at the age of three. The school is named in honor of the Lynch brothers who were Winchester High School graduates who gave their lives during World War II.
The school is a diverse community where over 40 languages are spoken. We are proud of our diversity and know that Lynch School is a place where people truly care about one another.
The Lynch Parents' Association (LPA) supports the school with a school newsletter, enrichment programs, and great family-friendly activities. In addition, the Lynch Parents' Association operates extended learning activities on a regular basis.

The Massachusetts Consortium for Innovative Education Assessment (MCIEA) is a partnership of seven public school districts and their local teacher unions, joined together to create a fair and effective accountability system that offers a more dynamic picture of student learning and school quality than a single standardized test.
The MCIEA school quality framework – derived from a combination of empirical findings, public polling, and focus groups with local stakeholders – is comprised of five categories: three inputs (Teachers and Leadership, School Culture, and Resources) and two outcomes (Academic Learning and Community and Well-Being).
